BrowserUsing the Plug-in Browser ► Adding effects and instruments to a project

1.
In the Browser, click the PlugIns button to show the Plug-in Browser.
Click the PlugIns menu button and select the desired layout. Click Manage Layouts if you want to modify an existing layout or create a new layout.

In the Browser, click the PlugIns button to show the Plug-in Browser.

Do one of the following:
*
To insert the effect in a specific location in the FX Rack. Drag the effect to the desired position in a track/bus FX Rack.
*
To insert the effect at the end of the FX Rack. Drag the effect to an empty track space in the Clips pane, or double-click the effect (only if the selected track type matches the effect type).

In the Browser, click the PlugIns button to show the Plug-in Browser.

In the Browser, click the PlugIns button to show the Plug-in Browser.

Click the Instruments button .
3.
Do one of the following:
*
To insert an instrument as a new Instrument track. Drag the desired instrument to an empty space in the Track view or Clips pane, or double-click the instrument.
*
To insert an instrument as a track effect. Drag the instrument to the desired track’s FX Rack, or drag the instrument to the desired track in the Clips pane.

In the Browser, click the PlugIns button to show the Plug-in Browser.

Click the ReWire button .

In the Set Properties dialog box, click the plug-in name, then type the new name.

Click OK to close the Set Properties dialog box.

In the Set Properties dialog box, click the small down arrow to open the drop-down list and select a category.

Click OK to close the Set Properties dialog box.

In the Set Properties dialog box, click the small down arrow to open the drop-down list and select a category.

Click the button to add another category drop-down list, then select the next category. To remove the plug-in from an assigned category, click the button next to the category drop-down list. To remove the first category, clear the name from the drop-down list.

Click OK to close the Set Properties dialog box.

In the Set Properties dialog box, click the small down arrow to open the drop-down list and select a category.

Click OK to close the Set Properties dialog box.

In the Set Properties dialog box, click the left side of the list control, then type a name for the new custom category.

Click OK to close the Set Properties dialog box.

In the Set Properties dialog box, click the small down arrow to open the drop-down list and select Reset Category.

Click OK to close the Set Properties dialog box.
