I can't record any audio

Symptom: The Record button is lit and the transport is moving, but nothing is being recorded.

Solutions:

You may not have selected the correct recording device. Go to Edit > Preferences > Audio - Driver Settings and make sure Record Timing Master is set to the input you are using. Make sure Playback Timing Master is set to the same device that your speakers or headphones are plugged into.

You have not set up Cakewalk to record audio. Make sure you have performed the following steps:

Select the correct audio input for the track you are recording to.

Arm the track for recording.

Press Cakewalk’s Record button (not the Play button).
