ACT MIDI Controller plug-in

The ACT MIDI Controller plug-in can be configured to support any generic MIDI controller (controller/surface), such as the JL Cooper FaderMaster, Peavey PC-1600, and Kenton Control Freak. Generic controllers/surfaces typically have 8-16 strips of faders/knobs/buttons, are non-motorized, and can often be configured to transmit any MIDI message (continuous controllers, NRPNs, Sysx, etc.). The ACT MIDI Controller supports ACT.

After you have connected your controller/surface, and selected the ACT MIDI Controller plug-in in Edit > Preferences > MIDI - Control Surfaces (see Setting up control surfaces if necessary), open the ACT MIDI Controller property page, and select a preset for your controller/surface (load the default mappings).

To open the ACT MIDI Controller property page

Do one of the following:

Click the Utilities menu and select ACT MIDI Controller.

Double-click the WAI display of the ACT MIDI Controller plug-in.

Note: If the ACT MIDI Controller plug-in is not listed, you need to add it in Edit > Preferences > MIDI - Control Surfaces (see Setting up control surfaces if necessary).
