Jon Lee

Composer/Producer Jon Lee uses SONAR daily to create the music for some of today best-known unscripted television shows such as “Jail,” “Street Patrol,” “Las Vegas Jailhouse,” “Undercover Stings,” and “America Wants You,” to name a few.  He got his start when a short film he scored was entered into the Slamdance Film Festival in 2007 and won The Grand Jury Best Documentary award.  The esteemed Langley Productions was one of the sponsors of the festival and Jon eventually met one of the executive producers Morgan Langley.  From there, things progressed and so did his workload.

There is no way I could compose, produce and deliver finished tracks on such a diverse level if I were to use any other DAW besides SONAR.

Along with all the work on the TV shows, Jon additionally scores music for some of today’s finest independent films, thus needing a DAW that allows him to quickly and efficiently create diverse music.  “With TV, the deadlines are really crazy, and I’ve had great a great experience with SONAR because it’s so fast and stable.  Plus, I can quickly get down ideas on whatever is in my head or whatever I’m thinking about musically to go with a picture?whatever the style.  I can’t imagine any style of music I can’t write using SONAR.”  Jon continues to work with Langley Productions, but is also now branching out writing and producing for ESPN along with other feature films.
