Editor: pyro Audio Creator cuts off recording after stopping

Last updated on 3/22/2016

The information in this article applies to:

  • pyro Audio Creator 1.0
  • pyro Audio Creator LE 1.0

Audio Creator will appear to have recorded an entire take, but after stopping only a portion of the recording is shown. This may be an issue with version 1.0 displaying the waveform improperly. You will need to check your version to see if the patches are required. Open Audio Creator, right-click on the small Audio Creator icon in the System Tray (next to your clock in the lower right-hand corner of the screen) and go to "About". Make sure the version is 1.5.2. If you do not have the 1.5.2 patch installed, please click below:

If your recordings are audibly cut off, then you may have a sound card driver issue. This has been known to occur when using certain sound cards in the incorrect driver mode. First click here to see if your sound card is set up properly. If it is or your sound card is not on the list, open AC and click the large Options button. Try switching the "Driver Mode" to one of the various options like MME (32bit), WDM/KS, or ASIO. You may need to adjust the buffer size as well.
