Why can’t I access my audio effects? They’re all grayed-out.

If your audio FX are grayed out, it's because you need to select or highlight some audio first. Try right-clicking in the FX field on an Audio track and pick an effect from the list to use it in real time. This will allow you to manipulate the effect and hear you changes while playback is ocuring.
