For the first time, DAW users can obtain super-low latency with internal sound chipsets in Windows laptops and tablets. Offering speed comparable to Thunderbolt interfaces, Windows 10 with SONAR becomes the fastest, most efficient mobile solution yet. An additional Shared Mode allows running SONAR concurrently with other programs that access Windows audio. This is great for playing along with audio or learning parts to songs.
The 2016.11 update also includes the unique “Lenses” feature, which provides user interface customization to focus on specific tasks and accelerate workflow. For example, those working with an audio-only project can hide all MIDI windows and menus to streamline the user experience.
