Cakewalk® Announces Free SONAR X3d Update

Boston, MA, (December 17, 2013) - Cakewalk, developers of powerful and thoughtfully designed software for modern musicians, today announced the free SONAR X3d update. Suitable for all three versions of the SONAR family (X3, X3 Studio, and X3 Producer), this update focuses on direct “wish list” feedback from Cakewalk customers in addition to video improvements.

SONAR X3d is the fourth patch to be released since the launch back in September, and includes numerous fixes and improvements as requested by the user community. SONAR X3d once again reinforces Cakewalk’s commitment to developing and supporting what has been widely recognized as the best version of SONAR ever.

SONAR X3d will also include support for more industry standard video formats using Microsoft’s Media Foundation video engine. Additional benefits include improved video playback quality and performance, support for high-definition content, support for high color spaces with full fidelity and enhanced full-screen playback, and more efficient video acceleration.
