Cakewalk® Announces Exclusive European Distribution Through Edirol Europe
—First Phase of Cakewalk International Distribution Changes Affecting Europe's Largest Markets: United Kingdom, Germany, France and Italy—
Boston, MA (August 5, 2003)—Cakewalk, developer of the world's best-selling music and sound software for Windows, announces EDIROL Europe will distribute Cakewalk products exclusively in the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Italy. Additional international distribution transition announcements to follow in the coming months.
Last month, Roland Corporation and Cakewalk announced a strategic alliance in which the companies will co-develop innovative products for computer music and audio recording on the PC. The alliance also provides for Cakewalk products to be exclusively distributed by Roland and its subsidiary, EDIROL, in select countries outside North America.
